On June 30, 2007, PURE Richmond attended the annual Chain Off demonstration and rally, sponsored by Dogs Deserve Better. The
organization seeks to educate pet owners about the dangers of leaving dogs tied outside for long periods of time.
     Every year, members around the country chain themselves to trees or doghouses for 8-24 hours to draw attention to their cause. PURE Richmond, along with our sister troupe, To The Earth, performed at the Chain Off event in Midlothian to entertain the volunteers and to help draw attention to their cause.

     PURE Richmond members joined other PURE troupes around the country to celebrate PURE Day 2007 on July 14.
     The Richmond troupe performed in the evening at Maymont Park, drawing small crowds who joined in to dance and celebrate PURE's anniversary with us.
